National Consultant
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Lebanon has a short term vacancy announcement for a National Consultant who will draft the Country Programming Framework (CPFs) for Lebanon, he will specifically:

• Assist with conducting a review of all available material prepared in the context of the CPF as well as other reference material of relevance for its formulation.
• Consult with the national government counterparts, UN system agencies and other development partners about the key priorities and interventions that are currently part of the priority matrix.

National Consultant in Statistics
The Ministry of Agriculture (MoA) and FAO have conducted a new agricultural census in 2010- 2011 in the framework of the Project "Lebanese National Observatory for Agricultural Development".

The national consultant in statistics will evaluate, analyze and interpret the census results regarding the structure of agricultural holdings for both crop and livestock sub sectors of agriculture using specialized statistical tools and software. This would be essential to support planning and decision-making in the agricultural sector. He will in addition advise on the data base maintenance, update and improvement.
